Position Description:
CGI is currently looking for dynamic consultants to work with one of our large federal government clients. The successful Senior Object Oriented Specialist would require a Valid Enhanced/Reliability Security Clearance. This opportunity will be commencing within the next 6-8 weeks.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to
•Analyzes functional requirements to identify information, procedures, decision flows and design patterns, and describes requirements in terms of Analysis and Design Models.
•Analyzes business and system scenarios and delivers all required artifacts from the Rational Unified Process (RUP), such as the business and system Use-Cases.
•Facilitates analysis and design with the development team to establish detailed business Use-Cases, Object Models, and other relevant models using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and EXtensible Markup Language (XML).
•Utilizes the agency standard Object-Oriented CASE tool for modeling and documenting the system.
•Promotes best practices and user familiarity with the CASE tool.
•Provides coaching to other members of the development team on the following: Java programming language, use of the CASE tool, J2EE architecture, JSP and Enterprise Java Beans (EJB).
•Defines and documents the component layering and sub-systems via an Implementation model.
•Defines and documents major components of the user-interface and obtains user acceptance thereof.
•Designs and documents in detail, using Object models and Interaction diagrams, all system components, their interfaces and operational environment.
The minimum qualifications for the role are the following;
•Experience within the last five (5) years where the candidate demonstrated the ability to work well within a team environment.
•Successfully completed a post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field, from a recognized academic institution; and
And
A.Has a minimum of six (6) years professional work experience within the IT field with a minimum of four (4) years experience as an Object Oriented specialist;
OR
B. Has a minimum of ten (10) years professional work experience within the IT field with a minimum of six (6) years experience as an Object Oriented specialist.
