Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma, Chemical Dependency Counselling Training/Certification, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre
Target Groups or Clients: Female
Type of Community or Social Service: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders), Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance)
Specific Skills: Resolve conflict situations, Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, Implement substance abuse treatment programs
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
Ability to Supervise: 11-15 people
Security and Safety: Criminal record check (abstract), Driving record check (abstract)

Other Information: Tennant House(female residence)is looking for staff to supervise clients;permanent weekend shifts: days and evenings. Knowledge of Addictions and 12 Step Theory and practice an asset. Highest ethical and confidentiality standards are essential. Ability to work independently and as a team member.
