In today's environment, whether at work, at school, or in private events, being able to speak in public is an essential skill to master. Yet, many of us have a deep fear of taking the floor and of expressing ideas in public.

Far from being a curse, public speaking can be learnt, and become a powerful and pleasant resource at hand!

Denis Bricnet brings a unique person-centered approach that combines technical skills and self awareness.  University students, scientists, managers, trainers, and professionals in all fields can gain confidence and command in all aspects of communication.

Format:  

  • The Module 1 is a 6-hour practical workshop starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 16:30 with 1 hour for lunch.
     

  • Limited number of participants, for better results.  Safe and respectful atmosphere. No prerequisites for this training course.
     

  • Instruction are delivered in English, practices can be in English or French.

Cost: 

  • A payment of $210 + HST per participant ($120+HST for students with ID) can be processed by credit card, cheque or cash
    by telephone: 613-235-5478 or half an hour

Denis Bricnet offers a program based on three modules leading to a Certificate in Public Speaking:

Module 1: Foundations of Public Speaking

  • Develop confidence and poise

  • Learn to use your physical, psychological, and creative resources


Module 2: Intermediate Public Speaking

  • Learn to be yourself, and to communicate in a natural manner
  • Focus on your audience
  • Deliver a message that reaches the target
  • Overcome the obstacles


Module 3: Advanced Public Speaking

  • Develop your capacity to organize ideas
  • Express ideas with clarity, efficiency, and creativity
  • Enhance understanding and attentive interested listening in your audience
  • Develop a natural, assertive and authentic communication style

 

* Denis Bricnet brings over 20 years of experience as a successful speaker in Europe and North America, and as a communication and public speaking trainer and coach. He has been featured in numerous TV shows and radio stations, and has inspired small and huge audiences on both continents.

The workshop I attended at Rockhurst with Denis Bricnet on oral expression training was very rewarding.

« Express yourself with eloquence » was the title of the session, and to my surprise, the workshop did not relate to methods nor techniques or strategies to better express ourselves. It was more like a coaching session focused on the importance of knowing oneself providing a humanistic observation grid to explain the different dimensions that support oral expression. And what to say of the practice sessions bringing to our awareness all our mannerisms?
Mostly an ordeal, but at the same time, what has not been my good fortune to finally put the finger
on those aspects that I should improve!

I highly recommend this workshop to all those who want to speak better in public
and discover how the self-reflection it advocates can help you.
